Joey Pollizze's best quarterback/tight-end stacks for fantasy football in 2025 drafts. His top targets include stacks from the Cardinals, 49ers, Lions, and more.
Choosing the right stacks in fantasy football could go a long way in raising your team's ceiling each week. Just look at the fantasy teams that had both Joe Burrow and Ja'Marr Chase last year. Those two players were consistently combining for 50-plus fantasy points every week. There was even a week where Burrow and Chase combined for 89.1 PPR fantasy points in a Week 10 game against the Ravens.
We also shouldn't sleep on QB/TE stacks. These can be just as powerful in your fantasy lineups and could single-handedly win weeks. In this article, we will look at five of the best QB/TE stacks you must draft this season. These stacks offer a mixture of high ceilings and high floors for your fantasy team.
So, who are the best QB/TE stacks to target in 2025 fantasy football drafts? Let's dive in and find out.

Arizona Cardinals: Kyler Murray/Trey McBride
One of the best QB/TE stacks available in drafts this year is the Arizona Cardinals' tandem of Kyler Murray and Trey McBride. McBride is the clear top pass-catcher in this Arizona offense after seeing 147 targets last year, and Murray has finished as a top-10 fantasy quarterback in every season he has played at least 14 games.
Therefore, fantasy managers should be looking to target both players in drafts. McBride just finished as the overall TE2 last year and had 13 different games of at least 10 PPR fantasy points. He also saw double-digit targets in six of the final seven weeks of the season. With some positive touchdown regression potentially coming his way, he could finish as the top fantasy tight end in 2025.

As for Murray, he will remain a safe pick in the middle-to-late rounds of drafts. He finished as the QB10 last year and ran for the second-most yards of his career (572). The Oklahoma product wasn't exactly a dominant fantasy option to start the 2024 season, but he was a reliable QB1 option as the season progressed.
That makes this QB/TE tandem one to target in drafts. Both should finish top-10 at their respective positions, with McBride having a strong chance of finishing as the overall TE1.
San Francisco 49ers: Brock Purdy/George Kittle
The San Francisco 49ers' QB/TE stack might be one of the more underrated ones entering drafts, largely because Brock Purdy is going outside the top-100 picks in most one-quarterback leagues. However, this Purdy/George Kittle duo should win many weeks for fantasy managers throughout the year.
Although Purdy finished as the overall QB14 last year, he ended as the QB10 on a points per game basis (18.6) and finished as a top-10 fantasy quarterback in eight of his 15 games. The 25-year-old also sneakily ran for 323 yards and five touchdowns during the 2024 season. In this Kyle Shanahan-led offense, it would be foolish to think he couldn't finish top-10 at the position.
With Kittle, we all know what to expect from him. He will be a dominant fantasy option who will have every opportunity to finish as the TE1. Last season, the 49ers playmaker averaged 15.8 PPR fantasy points per game, which ranked first among all tight ends. With Deebo Samuel Sr. now gone and Brandon Aiyuk coming back from a torn ACL, the veteran should have another strong fantasy season.

As a result, this QB/TE stack has a lot of potential in 2025. Purdy had eight different games in which he scored at least 20 fantasy points last year, and Kittle scored at least 14 PPR fantasy points in seven of those eight contests.
Kansas City Chiefs: Patrick Mahomes/Travis Kelce
A lot of fantasy managers might be surprised to find this QB/TE stack on this list. Patrick Mahomes finished outside the top 10 at the quarterback position for the first time in his career last year, and Travis Kelce lost a step in 2024. Kelce totaled a career-low 823 yards while finishing as the TE5 in PPR formats (his lowest fantasy finish since 2015).
However, this is a stack fantasy managers should be looking to target in drafts. Mahomes still has the upside to finish as a top-5 fantasy quarterback, and we could see better numbers from the two-time MVP in 2025. He will have arguably the best receiver corps of his career with Rashee Rice, Xavier Worthy, Marquise Brown, and Kelce.
What makes this stack so appealing this year is that the price of both Mahomes and Kelce in drafts is significantly low. Mahomes went as the QB2 last year with a second-/third-round ADP. Now, he finds himself going as the QB6 with a 59.9 ADP on Sleeper. The same thing pertains to Kelce after he went in the second round of 2024 drafts. Fantasy managers can now get him in the sixth/seventh round.
So, this QB/TE stack can still be a top one in 2025. Both Mahomes and Kelce could finish top-5 at their positions, and fantasy managers can draft both of them at a way cheaper price than in years prior.
Detroit Lions: Jared Goff/Sam LaPorta
There are a lot of question marks surrounding this Lions offense following the departure of offensive coordinator Ben Johnson. There are plenty of fantasy managers skeptical about this offense without Johnson. Nevertheless, this Lions QB/TE tandem should continue to be a sneaky one for managers in 2025.
The Lions will almost certainly still have a top-7 offense, led by their rushing duo of Jahmyr Gibbs and David Montgomery and their elite offensive line. That should make things easier for Goff through the air. While his numbers will likely regress a bit from last year, he should continue to be a low-end QB1 throughout the 2025 season.
He has thrown for at least 4,400 yards in five of his past seven seasons while finishing as a top-10 fantasy quarterback four times during that span. It will be interesting to see how much the loss of Johnson hurts Goff's overall fantasy value. But don't forget he did finish as the QB6 without Johnson as his offensive coordinator before (2018).

So, this is a sneaky QB/TE tandem to have in drafts. LaPorta should remain a top pass-catcher in this Detroit offense, and he came on toward the end of last year. He ranked as the TE5 in PPR fantasy points over the final nine weeks of the season. That makes this stack one of the best ones to have in 2025.
Denver Broncos: Bo Nix/Evan Engram
Sometimes, the best QB/TE stacks can be found in the middle-to-late rounds of drafts. The first four stacks on his list have at least one player going within the first six rounds. McBride has a Round 2 ADP, Kittle has a Round 4 ADP, Mahomes has a Round 6 ADP, and LaPorta has a Round 5 ADP. However, neither Bo Nix nor Evan Engram is going that early in drafts.
So, if you miss out on the first few QB/TE stacks above, pivoting to this Broncos tandem is not a bad idea. Nix finished as the QB7 in his rookie season, and Engram is due for a bounce-back season on a new team in 2025. The veteran was released by the Jacksonville Jaguars earlier in the offseason and quickly signed a multiyear deal with the Broncos in free agency.
This landing spot in Denver could help Engram return to elite TE1 fantasy status. He is already establishing a nice connection with Nix early in training camp, and the 30-year-old is expected to be in that "Joker" role in Sean Payton's offense this season. Therefore, it's hard not to love both Nix and Engram's potential in this offense.
Both are going outside the top-75 in drafts, but have the upside to finish top-6 at their respective positions. Nix should only improve as a passer in Year 2, and Engram will likely be the second option in this Denver offense behind Courtland Sutton. Given that the sophomore quarterback ranked 30th in yards per attempt in 2024, we could see the veteran tight end feast in PPR formats.
