Danny Amendola 2018 Outlook: From The Penthouse To The Dreggs
6 years agoWhat a difference a year makes. From fighting the Eagles for a Super Bowl title with the Patriots to fighting Albert Wilson for slot targets for the Dolphins. While this will be an important role for the offense with the departure of Jarvis Landry to Cleveland, Amendola will need to finally stay healthy for an entire season if he wants to make a fantasy impact. With Landry accounting for over 100 catches and 150 targets each year for the Dolphins, the chances for Amendola could be great, but with Albert Wilson also getting the work in the slot don’t expect either of them to gather more than 85 targets or 50 receptions and with Amendola oft-injured, he is most likely to be the odd man out. At best he could be a WR4 in this offense and in anything but best ball leagues he is not worth the risk of drafting and is more of a waiver wire flier after we see what pans out in Miami.
