The month of May is off and running, so let's catch up with the latest weekly update to my rest-of-season fantasy baseball top 300 ranks. There has never been a week in my history of doing this exercise where I've said, "Gee, almost nothing has changed!" Patience can be a virtue, but there remain many, many valid things to react to.
We're seeing fantasy managers elated at the upcoming Robby Snelling promotion, with others set to get Carlos Rodon and Nick Lodolo back from the IL. Others are smarting from injuries to Tarik Skubal, Ronald Acuna Jr., Ryan Helsley, Brandon Woodruff, Emilio Pagan, Carlos Correa, Gleyber Torres, Yainer Diaz, Steven Matz, and others. Losing first-rounders is especially taxing, but I believe in you.
Let's see what the crystal ball says as the season's quarter-pole marker approaches. I recognize that slow starts attached to players with strong track records are getting tough to stomach, and I hope orienting that with fresh ranks helps.
