Ian Rapoport of the NFL Network reports that the Detroit Lions are quietly negotiating a long-term extension with Pro Bowl defensive end Aidan Hutchinson. "Aidan Hutchinson of the Detroit Lions is the other big name, high octane pass rusher currently discussing a potential long term deal," Rapoport said. "If that gets done before Parsons, then Parsons officially on the clock." Hutchinson has totaled 28.5 sacks in three seasons, including 7.5 in only five games before an injury cut his 2024 campaign short. Locking in the rising star could reset the market ahead of Micah Parsons' expected megadeal.--Shaun Albin
