Yimi Garcia Reinstated From Injured List
Yimi Garcia (shoulder) from the 15-day injured list and optioned left-hander Mason Fluharty to Triple-A Buffalo in a corresponding move. While Jeff Hoffman will remain Toronto's primary closer, Garcia should be the team's primary high-leverage, late-inning setup man now that he's back with the big-league club. Before injuring his right shoulder, the 34-year-old veteran Dominican had a 3.15 ERA (2.99 FIP), a 1.05 WHIP, three saves and a 24:10 K:BB in 20 innings out of the bullpen. In addition to his three saves, he's picked up six holds and will be very valuable in fantasy formats that award points for holds. If anything were to happen to Hoffman, Garcia would likely step into primary closing duties for the Jays.
