Marcell Ozuna 2021 Fantasy Outlook: A Sure Thing At The Plate
4 years agoBy signing a four-year, $65 million deal with the Atlanta Braves, outfielder/designated hitter Marcell Ozuna proved just how valuable he is. In the shortened 2020 season, Ozuna statistically had one of the best seasons of his career. He slashed .338/.431/.636 in 60 games, hitting 18 home runs and driving in 56. Those numbers are much higher better than the .241/.328/.472 slash line that he posted in 2019 in 130 games. Ozuna's 267 plate appearances led the league, while his 2.5 WAR ranked seventh. With 38 walks and 77 hits, Ozuna was an on-base machine, and alongside National League MVP Freddie Freeman and young superstar Ronald Acuna, he'll continue to have big-time upside in a stacked Braves lineup. After playing for the Marlins, Cardinals and Braves, Ozuna has found his home.
