In 2025, New England Patriots receiver Kayshon Boutte posted his second consecutive respectable season. Boutte's volume declined noticeably to 33 receptions on 46 targets in 14 games, but he did well with those opportunities. Boutte had the fifth-highest aDOT of all receivers at 17.0 yards, leading to a league-best 12.0 yards per target as well as six touchdowns. His campaign culminated in a WR51 finish, and he was the WR47 on a per-game basis. It is unclear if Boutte will see even that diminished volume in 2026, though. New England acquired star receiver A.J. Brown from Philadelphia in early June, adding a new top option to the team's receiving room. Additionally, the Patriots signed Romeo Doubs to a four-year, $68 million deal in March. Boutte will be forced to compete with Mack Hollins, DeMario Douglas, and Kyle Williams, plus tight ends Hunter Henry and Eli Raridon, for scraps. Unless Boutte gets traded, that is, a possibility that has been rumored for a while. Boutte has been taken as the WR68 in fantasy drafts. The chance that he finds a new home with a clearer path to higher target volume makes him an intriguing bet at that price. Update 8/24/2026: Boutte has reportedly been traded to the Houston Texans. Houston suffered a loss at WR when Jayden Higgins tore his ACL in practice, so Boutte was acquired to patch the resulting hole. Boutte will vie with Jaylin Noel, Tank Dell, and Xavier Hutchinson to be the team's WR2 behind star Nico Collins.--Hayden Epinette
