George Kittle 2018 Outlook: Can He Be A Top Fantasy Tight End?
6 years agoThe San Francisco 49ers have gotten a ton of hype lately due to the addition of quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo, who made five starts for the 49ers last season after being acquired in a late-October trade with the New England Patriots. If Garoppolo succeeds in San Francisco, he'll need to get production from second-year tight end George Kittle. Kittle came on strong at the end of last season, with 11 receptions for 194 yards and a touchdown over his last three games, and has the speed to create mismatches in the passing game after running a 4.52 40 yard dash at the NFL Combine. A good blocker as well, Kittle should enter 2018 with full control of the tight end position in San Francisco over Garret Celek. He has a good chance to finish above his current ADP, which is outside of the top 10 at the tight end position, and will provide a ton of value this season to fantasy owners. Even if his ceiling is below that of the top tier of tight ends, Kittle's role with the 49ers should continue to increase as he tries to establish himself near the top of the second tier of NFL tight ends.
