Ezekiel Elliott 2020 Outlook: Elite In Big D
5 years agoDallas Cowboys running back Ezekiel Elliott is still one of the best in the league despite taking a step back last season. Even with the retirement of Travis Frederick, Elliott will be running behind one of the top offensive lines in the NFL. Although Elliott did not have the receiving presence in 2019 (54 receptions) that he had in 2018 (77 Receptions), he still had 301 rushes for 1,357 yards and a 4.5 YPC average. He also finally got to the double-digit mark in rushing TD in a season with 12. With CeeDee Lamb now in the mix, Elliott's pass down work is not likely to rebound to his 2018 level any time soon. But he will also have more open rush lanes as defenses will have to concentrate even further on the WR position with the addition of Lamb to a group that already had Amari Cooper and Michael Gallup. As a result, Elliott will be well worth a first-round pick in 2020.
