Derrick Favors Signing Three-Year Deal With Jazz
4 years agoFree agent power forward Derrick Favors has agreed to a three-year, $30 million deal to return to the Utah Jazz, where he played from 2011 to 2019 before being traded to the New Orleans Pelicans. In one year for the Pels, Favors averaged 9.0 points and 9.8 rebounds per game. In Utah, expect to see Favors spend time at the four and five. His numbers should be close to what they were in New Orleans, with the potential for a slight uptick in scoring. Of course, that's dependent on the Jazz giving him a good number of minutes per game, and if Favors winds up being solely a backup, he might actually see a reduction in his production.
