Updated Fantasy Baseball Points Leagues Draft Rankings - Aaron Nola, Luis Castillo, Jack Flaherty, Justin Verlander and More

Jack Flaherty - Fantasy Baseball Rankings, Draft Sleepers, MLB Injury News

Updated H2H points fantasy baseball rankings from April 1st. Tiered draft rankings for points leagues and head-to-head points formats to account for injuries.

And the hits keep on coming! As we deal with a variety of fantasy baseball news and injuries, below you'll find our updated 2022 fantasy baseball points league rankings. These fantasy baseball rankings are meant to reflect recent injuries and player news, and are geared towards points leagues and head-to-head (H2H) points league scoring formats.

It's critical to stay on top of the latest news and rankings as we head into the heart of draft season, and the last week before Opening Day. Bookmark our 24x7  feed of ongoing fantasy baseball news and injuries. And download our recently updated fantasy sports mobile app -- it's brand new, completely free, and brings you fantasy player news alerts. Our push notification alerts will keep you on top of all the most important news.

Below are updated rankings from April 1st, brought to you by RotoBaller's points leagues guru Nicklaus Gaut. Our general sentiment is that fantasy baseball points leagues and H2H points formats are way too underserved by other fantasy sites out there. On the contrary, we here at RotoBaller work very hard at bringing you in-depth points leagues articles, tools and analysis. All through the preseason and MLB season we are publishing fantasy baseball rankings, tools articles, sleepers, targets and avoids -- all geared towards fantasy baseball points and H2H points leagues.

Be sure to check all of our fantasy baseball lineup tools and resources:

Fantasy Baseball Points Rankings - April 1st Update

These rankings are for points and head-to-head points leagues, updated on April 1st, 2022. You can also see our early 5x5 mixed league roto rankings.

Before we get to the H2H points rankings themselves, let's quickly review points leagues and how they are different than other formats. Typically, points leagues have different league settings and scoring formats than other fantasy baseball leagues. Different MLB stats and categories are assigned different point values, and those can vary by individual league settings. Those different point buckets are then added up over the course of a scoring period or season.

In many cases, hitters who walk more and strikeout less are preferred for points leagues. Also, many league formats tend to give more weight to pitchers than normal as they can easily accrue points through categories like Innings Pitched. These are the general frameworks that we use for our points league rankings below, and explain why they look different than more standard 5x5 roto fantasy baseball rankings.
