5 months agoBoston Red Sox infielder Michael Chavis (shoulder) won't come off the injured list during the team's series against the Rockies in Colorado. The club wants Chavis to get more at-bats on a rehab assignment with Triple-A Pawtucket. Chavis has been out since Aug. 11, but he's nearing a return. The 24-year-old has a slash line of .254/.322/.444 with 18 home runs, 46 runs and 58 RBI in 347 at-bats this year and should return to regular playing time when he's ready. Brock Holt has been hitting well of late and has benefitted from extra playing time with Chavis on the sidelines.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
