Recent Update

3 weeks agoWashington Nationals relief pitcher Trevor Rosenthal walked both batters he faced in the eighth inning of Washington's 9-8 win against the Philadelphia Phillies and has yet to record an out through seven batters faced this season. Both runners came around to score on Andrew McCutchen's three-run double off of Kyle Barraclough, who is not doing well himself. Rosenthal, who is returning from Tommy John surgery, was thought to be a potential setup man for the Nationals and hit 99 mph on Wednesday, but he is quickly pitching himself out of any significant role. Rosenthal should be on waivers everywhere, as should all Nationals relievers besides closer Sean Doolittle. Doolittle got his second win of the season Wednesday with a scoreless ninth inning, though he has yet to record a save, as both Nationals wins so far have come via walk-offs.--Nate Green - RotoBaller
