Recent Update

7/16:The Braves may be potential buyers as the trade deadline approaches. Atlanta currently sits six games back of the Colorado Rockies in the National League Wild Card race. While many believe the team to be shopping a number of players with an eye on the future, a scout has spent the past couple nights in Detroit watching Justin Verlander and Michael Fulmer. Though unlikely, either name would quickly become the ace in the Braves' rotation. Fulmer's first-half success and Verlander's proven pedigree could be welcome additions to an Atlanta squad that ranks 22nd in team ERA.--Michael Collins - RotoBaller
