Yimi Garcia to Undergo Season-Ending Surgery
Yimi Garcia (elbow) will undergo season-ending surgery to clean up scar tissue around his right elbow. He recently received a second opinion on his elbow and has decided to go the surgery route. Garcia has reportedly been dealing with elbow issues since around the All-Star break. The loss of Garcia is certainly a blow to the back-end of the Jays' bullpen. He'll finish the season with a 3.86 ERA, 1.19 WHIP, and a 25/12 K/BB ratio across 22 games. The organization believes Garica will be ready in time for spring training next season.
