Toronto Blue Jays right-handed reliever Yimi Garcia (shoulder) is expected to start a minor-league rehab assignment and pitch in the rookie-level Florida Complex League on Monday, according to MLB.com. Garcia went on the 15-day injured list on May 24 with a right-shoulder impingement, but he's getting close to returning to Toronto's bullpen and could be back in the big leagues by late June. If Garcia is able to avoid setbacks with his shoulder this week, he could come off the IL by later this week or this weekend. When he's back in the big leagues, the 34-year-old Dominican reliever should be a key late-inning, high-leverage bullpen arm for the Jays while also seeing an occasional save chance. Before getting hurt, Garcia had a 3.15 ERA (2.97 FIP), a 1.05 WHIP, three saves, 24 strikeouts and 10 walks in 20 innings pitched. He's definitely valuable in holds leagues when healthy.--Keith Hernandez
