Triston McKenzie Struggling in the Arizona Complex League
Triston McKenzie. On Tuesday, he finished an outing in the Arizona Complex League (ACL) and finished with two innings pitched, three hits, four earned runs, four walks, and only one strikeout. To make matters worse, his numbers over four outings in the ACL are 10 earned runs, 11 walks, 12 strikeouts, and a 9.64 ERA in 9 1/3 innings pitched. McKenzie was once viewed as a solid rotation arm with a 2.96 ERA in 2022 and 191 1/3 innings pitched, but since then, he has had a 5.06 ERA in 2023, 5.11 ERA in 2024, and had an 11.12 ERA in 2025 before the Guardians sent him down to the minors in April of this year. All seems lost for the once somewhat promising right-hander, and with his recent outing, he can be dropped in all league formats, if he hasn't been already.
