Garrett Wilson Expected to Miss "a Couple of Weeks" With Hyperextended Knee
Garrett Wilson (knee) suffered a hyperextended knee in the Week 6 loss to the Denver Broncos on Sunday in London, according to Adam Schefter of ESPN. According to a source, Wilson is now expected to miss "a couple of weeks." While it's obviously bad news for the Jets and for fantasy managers, Wilson avoided a serious long-term injury and will be back this year. The Jets have two more games in Week 7 (against the Carolina Panthers) and in Week 8 (versus the Cincinnati Bengals) before their bye in Week 9. Fantasy managers probably should be planning for Wilson to be out through the team's Week 9 bye, which would mean the earliest he could return to play would be in Week 10 against the Cleveland Browns. The Jets already had one of the worst passing attacks in the NFL, and with Wilson out, now they'll have to lean more on rookie tight end Mason Taylor and receivers Josh Reynolds, Allen Lazard, Tyler Johnson, and Arian Smith.
