The Chicago White Sox have placed left-handed pitcher Fraser Ellard (lat) on the 15-day injured list with a left lat strain. This will be the 27-year-old's second stint on the injured list as he missed time in April with a hamstring strain. Ellard logged just 2/3 of an inning in Saturday's contest but stumbled as he allowed two runs and two walks. Through six 2/3 innings of work, Ellard has held a 6.75 ERA with a 1.05 WHIP. During his limited taste of action, Ellard has flashed strikeout potential as he has struck out 10 batters. Last summer, the southpaw made his MLB debut and posted a 3.75 ERA with a 1.25 WHIP across 24 innings of work. While he remains sidelined, fantasy managers should expect Cam Booser and Mike Vasil to see more high-leverage opportunities.--Andy Smith - RotoBaller
