Super Saturday Fantasy Football Start 'Em, Sit 'Em (Week 17) - Christian Watson, Woody Marks, Josh Jacobs, Emanuel Wilson, C.J. Stroud, Zay Flowers, Jayden Reed, Mark Andrews, more

Josh Jacobs - Fantasy Football Rankings, NFL Injury News, DFS Picks

Super Saturday fantasy football start 'em, sit 'em picks and lineups advice for the Saturday slate in Week 17 -- Texans vs. Chargers and Ravens vs. Packers Saturday games.

There will be two games played on Saturday in Week 17. All four teams playing on this day are either fighting for a playoff spot or have already clinched a playoff spot. The first game is between the Houston Texans and the Los Angeles Chargers, and the second game is between the Baltimore Ravens and the Green Bay Packers

With four very good teams playing on Saturday, fantasy managers will have a lot of players to start in these two contests. That means some managers will have some very difficult start/sit decisions to make before Sunday.

So, let's dive into the start/sits for these two Saturday games in Week 17. Be sure to also check out our full article for Week 17 fantasy football start 'em, sit 'em picks and all other Week 17 matchups.

Matchups Analysis - Saturday 4:30 EST Game

Houston Texans at Los Angeles Chargers

Matchups We Love

None

Matchups We Hate

QB C.J. Stroud

C.J. Stroud has been a very inconsistent QB option recently. He has just one top-16 fantasy QB finish over his past five games and only scored 11.5 fantasy points last week against the Raiders. Now, he gets a matchup against a Chargers defense that has given up the third-fewest fantasy points to opposing QBs this year. Therefore, Stroud is a lower-end QB2 in Superflex formats in Week 17.

QB Justin Herbert

Although Justin Herbert had his best fantasy performance of the season last week, he should be avoided in most leagues this week. The Texans have given up the second-fewest fantasy points to opposing QBs, and only one QB (Jacoby Brissett) has finished top-12 at the position against this defense this year. So, Herbert should not be started in any one-quarterback leagues.

RB Woody Marks

Woody Marks missed last week's game due to an ankle issue, but the rookie will return from that injury in Week 17. However, expectations should be tempered for Marks against the Chargers. Los Angeles has given up the seventh-fewest fantasy points to opposing RBs, and this defense has let just six RBs score above 13.5 PPR fantasy points this season. So, Marks is more of an RB3 this weekend.

WR Nico Collins

Nico Collins has an extremely tough matchup against the Chargers in Week 17. Los Angeles has allowed the fifth-fewest fantasy points and the fewest explosive plays to WRs through 16 weeks. Still, Collins should be started in most cases this week. He has scored above 20 PPR fantasy points in four of his last seven games.

Chargers WRs

It's hard to trust any Chargers WRs this week. Derek Stingley Jr. will likely shadow Quentin Johnston in this game, and Ladd McConkey has to go up against a secondary that has given up the eighth-fewest fantasy points to opposing slot WRs in 2025. That's enough reason to sit Johnston and McConkey in most formats. Johnston will be more of a WR5, while McConkey will be a low-end WR3.

TE Dalton Schultz

Dalton Schultz has been a reliable TE1 option for the most part this season. He has finished top 10 at the TE position in seven of his last 10 games and just scored 14.5 PPR fantasy points last week against the Raiders. Unfortunately, though, Schultz will be a lower-end/riskier TE1 play this week. The Chargers have given up the fifth-fewest fantasy points to opposing TEs this year.

TE Oronde Gadsden II

It's best to stay away from Oronde Gadsden II in all formats this week. He only caught one pass for seven yards last week and has run 20 routes or fewer in back-to-back games. With Gadsden's role decreasing heading into Week 17, the rookie is too risky to trust. The Texans have also given up the 10th-fewest fantasy points to the TE position this season.

Potential Starts For Fantasy Football Lineups

RB Omarion Hampton

Omarion Hampton had one of his better rushing days of the season last week, as he carried the ball 16 times for 85 yards and one touchdown. With Kimani Vidal (neck) questionable to play in this game, Hampton could be in for a solid workload. Even if Vidal does play, the rookie will be a solid RB2 play against the Texans. Houston just let Ashton Jeanty score 31.8 PPR fantasy points a week ago.

Matchups Analysis - Saturday 8:00 EST Game

Baltimore Ravens at Green Bay Packers

Matchups We Love

WR Christian Watson

Injury Update: With Love ruled out, Watson becomes a riskier play.

Christian Watson hasn't done much in recent weeks. He scored just 5.9 PPR fantasy points in Week 15 before leaving that contest early due to an injury, and scored 3.8 PPR fantasy points last week with Malik Willis playing most of that game. However, with a good chance that Jordan Love will play in Week 17, Watson becomes a ceiling play. The Ravens have given up the eighth-most fantasy points to outside WRs this year.

Matchups We Hate

Potential Starts For Fantasy Football Lineups

QB Jordan Love

Injury Update: Love has been ruled out. Malik Willis becomes more of a QB2 option in Superflex formats.

After suffering a concussion in last week's loss, Love is officially questionable for Week 17. If he plays, he will be more of a QB2 play in Superflex formats against the Ravens. Baltimore has allowed just seven passing touchdowns since Week 7, and the Packers signal-caller has been very hit-or-miss for fantasy managers over the past few weeks.

QB Tyler Huntley

With Lamar Jackson (back) listed as doubtful for this week, all signs point to Tyler Huntley getting the start against the Packers. In his one start earlier this year, Huntley scored 16.7 PPR fantasy points en route to a QB16 finish. As a result, Huntley will be a higher-end QB2 due to his rushing upside. He rushed for 53 yards in that one start in Week 8, and the Packers just let Caleb Williams rush for 30 yards last week.

RB Derrick Henry

The Packers have done a good job of stopping opposing RBs this year. They rank eighth in fantasy points allowed, are giving up just 88.9 rush yards per game, and have allowed the seventh-fewest rush touchdowns to the position. However, Derrick Henry will remain a solid RB1 play. He has rushed for over 90 yards in three straight games, which included a 128-yard, two-touchdown performance in Week 16.

RB Josh Jacobs

Some fantasy managers might be a bit hesitant to start Josh Jacobs following last week's dud. He scored just 4.8 PPR fantasy points and played only 39% of the team's offensive snaps. Nevertheless, Jacobs will come in as a solid RB2 option against the Ravens in Week 17. Baltimore has given up the 10th-most fantasy points and the third-most receptions to opposing RBs this year.

WR Zay Flowers

Zay Flowers has been a much better fantasy option recently. He has scored above 15 PPR fantasy points in three straight games and just finished as the overall WR9 last week. Therefore, Flowers will be a middle-of-the-pack WR2 against the Packers. In Huntley's one start this season, the Ravens playmaker caught seven passes for 63 yards while earning a 40.9% target share.

WR Jayden Reed/Romeo Doubs

Both Jayden Reed and Romeo Doubs are potential flex plays in 12-plus team leagues. However, both will come in as lower-end flex options. Reed has finished outside the top 36 at the WR position in three consecutive games, and Doubs has been too inconsistent to trust in Week 17. Although Doubs scored 19.4 PPR fantasy points in Week 16, he scored 5.6 PPR fantasy points and zero fantasy points in the two previous weeks before that.

TE Mark Andrews

Mark Andrews will come in as more of a TE2 play this week against the Packers. He has scored under five PPR fantasy points in three straight contests and only caught two passes in Huntley's last start earlier this year. Therefore, Andrews should not be started in most formats this weekend. Green Bay has also given up the fifth-fewest receiving yards to opposing TEs.
