Today, we focus on WRs and rank the top 150 wideouts in our early 2025 fantasy football Half-PPR wide receiver rankings for redraft leagues. Some key receivers have switched teams this offseason, such as DK Metcalf, Davante Adams, Deebo Samuel Sr., Cooper Kupp, George Pickens, and Stefon Diggs. Fantasy Football Wide Receiver Player Outlooks

DK Metcalf, Pittsburgh Steelers

Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver DK Metcalf, who was traded to his new team near the beginning of the free agency period in the 2025 offseason, is the clear and undisputed No. 1 target in his new offense. The Steelers also traded away WR George Pickens, meaning Metcalf is the only good receiver on the team. The team's second-best option right now is WR Calvin Austin III, who has failed even to cement himself as the team's WR2.

Pittsburgh's offense seems to be set to take a step back, as while they signed QB Aaron Rodgers, he's 41 years old and dealt with many injuries last season. Metcalf could be heavily targeted, but swarmed with defensive coverage in every game. In addition, Pittsburgh's offensive coordinator, Arthur Smith, employs an incredibly run-heavy offensive scheme. He is known for being awful for fantasy football for all players on his team who haven't been a future Hall of Fame running back, except for Derrick Henry.

It's hard to believe that a Smith offense that even held back WR A.J. Brown with the Tennessee Titans will produce a legit WR1 in fantasy football. Metcalf should have a decent season, but expect plenty of disappointing games of poor production.

Tetairoa McMillan, Carolina Panthers

While there was plenty of hype around new Carolina Panthers wide receiver Tetairoa McMillan in the pre-draft process, he has many flaws on tape that he needs to work on. Although Panthers quarterback Bryce Young played much better down the stretch in 2025, he still didn't put up big numbers. McMillan figures to get solid volume in Year 1, but Young's "breakout" might not be all that. McMillan could be in for a rough Year 1 if Young doesn't start elevating his numbers soon.

The Panthers drafted Xavier Legette in Round 1 last season, and WR Jalen Coker has played impressively for an undrafted free agent. Additionally, slot WR Adam Thielen isn't going anywhere, and McMillan's lack of speed hurts against athletic outside cornerbacks. Young could easily regress to his start-of-2024 form, in which Tet's first season would be a complete wash. Carolina's passing offense probably isn't worth investing in for fantasy football, and if McMillan finishes outside the top three rookies in fantasy scoring, some analysts wouldn't be surprised. Exercise caution, and it's probably not worth reaching for him.

Cooper Kupp, Seattle Seahawks

New Seattle Seahawks wide receiver Cooper Kupp is looking to put aside his injury woes and deliver for his new team in 2025. Kupp is coming off another strong campaign in which he caught 67 passes for 710 yards and six touchdowns in 12 games. He notably fell off at the end of the season, totaling just four catches and 53 yards from Weeks 15 through 17. The end of the season and the change in scenery have led to a severe depression in Kupp's value as he is currently being drafted as a low-end WR3 or borderline flex option and is ranked as WR49.

However, Kupp's fall from grace at the end of the season was more of a reflection of the Rams scheming him out of the offense rather than a fall-off in ability. Before that rough stretch, Kupp was comfortably producing WR2 numbers every week. Kupp may not be the Triple Crown winner he once was, and he may be taking a downgrade at quarterback, but this is still a player with enough in the tank to deliver solid numbers for fantasy. He is a savvy veteran who always knows where to be. As such, he is a quarterback's best friend and should mesh well with new Seahawks quarterback Sam Darnold. The Seahawks' offense has produced two WR2s for several years. If this offense meshes well, Kupp can comfortably be drafted at his current ADP with potential upside for a low-end WR2 season.

Stefon Diggs, New England Patriots

The New England Patriots signed 31-year-old wide receiver Stefon Diggs (knee) to a three-year, $63 million contract ahead of the 2025 season. While many might assume that number ensures he'll be the team's No. 1 receiver moving forward, he tore his ACL around the middle of 2024. Typically, WRs going into a season where they'll turn 32 after having sustained a major knee injury the year before don't perform too well.

He made offseason headlines for his infamous Memorial Day boating video, but things have settled down since then, and he reportedly looked good running routes and cutting. Diggs is on target and could be ready for Week 1 of the upcoming season. However, the Pats invested significant draft capital in rookie WR Kyle Williams, a talented and highly underrated route-runner and after-catch specialist. It's likely that Williams, who has a great combination of height, speed, and sudden releases on his routes, will take over the WR1 job in a short time.

Diggs wasn't particularly efficient even in a slot-heavy role in 2024 with the Texans, and this year's free-agent WR market was very weak, so he probably got an inflated contract. Quarterback Drake Maye was excellent in 2024, and Diggs could have a valuable slot role yet again, but he might not finish above Williams this year if he is not ready by Week 1. Diggs carries a lot of risk and is currently WR50 in our latest RotoBaller rankings, making him a borderline WR4 entering upcoming fantasy football drafts.
