Arizona Diamondbacks relief pitcher A.J. Puk (elbow) continues to work his way back from elbow issues and has stretched out to 120 feet, per manager Torey Lovullo. Puk was able to avoid surgery after landing on the 15-day injured list in mid-April after appearing in eight games. He had 12 strikeouts and gave up three runs while converting all four save chances and picking up two holds as well. The lefty will look to continue to ramp up and return to the Diamondbacks bullpen in the near future. He will likely need a rehab stint after so long on the sidelines, so he is still a few steps away from returning to the bullpen mix for Arizona. The fact that there has been progress without setbacks, though, is a good sign for the 30-year-old southpaw.--Zach Thompson
