Shelby Miller Starting Rehab Assignment
Shelby Miller (forearm) was sent on a minor-league rehab assignment on Tuesday with Triple-A Nashville, according to the team. Miller is working his way back from a strained right forearm, but barring a setback on his rehab assignment, he could join his new team soon after the Arizona Diamondbacks traded him at last week's deadline. With Trevor Megill entrenched as the team's primary closer in Milwaukee, the 34-year-old Miller is going to lose considerable fantasy value with the move to his new team, although he should still be in play in leagues that count holds in a high-leverage, late-inning setup role. Miller has had an excellent season with the D-backs, posting a 1.98 ERA (3.14 FIP), a 0.96 WHIP, a career-high 10 saves and a 40:11 K:BB in 36 1/3 innings pitched in 2025.
