Griffin Canning With A Quality Start On Sunday
Griffin Canning (5-1) was solid on Sunday against the Chicago Cubs. Although he walked away from this contest with a no-decision, he went six innings, allowed two hits, one run, and struck out five. His only blemish came on a Pete Crow-Armstrong solo home run in the sixth inning that erased the Mets' 1-0 lead. Nonetheless, Canning continues his stellar season with the Mets, as he now owns an impressive 2.36 ERA in 2025 with 42 innings pitched, and a solid 9.00 K/9 with his new team. Next up for Canning is a tough matchup on the road in the Bronx to take on the New York Yankees. Fantasy Managers may want to plan for some regression with Canning down the stretch, but ride the hot streak that he's on thus far.
