DraftKings CFB DFS Lineup Picks: Daily College Fantasy Football Saturday Main Slate (9/27/25)

Mike Marteny's DraftKings daily fantasy college football lineup picks for the Saturday (9/27/25) main slate in Week 5. His CFB DFS lineup picks and DFS sleepers will help you win.

The evening slate is more loaded again, but this main slate has a lot to like. Notre Dame visiting Arkansas is crazy, and I'm all for it. Cincinnati heads to the new Booth to take on Kansas. Georgia Tech heads to Wake. We have a slugfest between Louisville and Pitt. USC heads to Illinois to take on the Illini.

The afternoon starts with Auburn heading to College Station. LSU heads to Oxford to take on Mississippi. Baylor heads to Stillwater to take on the reeling Cowboys. Utah is in a lower set of mountains to take on West Virginia. Indiana heads to Kinnick to take on Iowa. Ohio State is getting some Sailgating out in Seattle, taking on Washington. This ends with Tennessee taking on the cowbells in StarkVegas.

In this article, I will provide you with my daily fantasy college football lineup picks for the main DraftKings slate on 9/27/25, starting at noon Eastern. I’ll provide multiple player suggestions for quarterbacks, running backs, and wide receivers, aiming to highlight one option at each end of the salary scale, from high to low. DraftKings CFB DFS Picks - Quarterbacks

Taylen Green, Arkansas ($9.1K)

Memphis got after Green. Strangely enough, I'm not sure the Irish can. Marcel Reed tore them up in South Bend. Green doesn't have the arm that Reed does, but he is a better runner. The Arkansas line needs to give Green enough time to make good decisions. Is that too much to ask?

Green's 23.3 DraftKings points against Memphis were his low point on the season. I'll take that as a floor. Dropped passes cost him at least eight more points. Notre Dame is allowing 289.3 passing yards per game this season. That's 119th out of 136 FBS teams. I'm buying in on Green again. His ceiling is 40 DK points.

Joey Aguilar, Tennessee ($8.3K)

Aguilar has been very consistent with his fantasy output through four games. His low mark is 19.5 DK points in about one half of football against East Tennessee State. He put up 37 in the OT thriller against Georgia. If this game stays close, we could see Aguilar up in the 30s again. He doesn't add much rushing upside, but 12 passing touchdowns still rack up those points quickly.

Haynes King, Georgia Tech ($7.9K)

It has been Haynes King Hero Ball all season for the Wreck. That's not going to change here. At some point, the Wreck needs to get Jamal Haynes involved in this offense, but for now, King is carrying the load practically by himself.

Wake isn't allowing a ton of yards or points, but the entire offense is built around King. He only has two passing touchdowns on the season, but he has five on the ground with 274 rushing yards in three games. Most of his production comes from the rushing totals, which isn't a bad thing in DFS. If King were only an RB, we'd still consider him at this price.

Fernando Mendoza, Indiana ($6.8K)

Only three of Mendoza's 42 passes in the last two games have hit the ground. One of those games was against an Illinois defense that was thought to be near the top of the Big Ten. Iowa doesn't scare me. Athan Kaliakmanis led touchdown drives on the first three drives against Iowa last week.

Mendoza has 10 touchdown passes and one rushing touchdown in the last two games alone, and he continues to flirt with 300 passing yards in this high-powered Indiana attack. The Iowa run defense funnels things to the air, which is great news for those of us using Mendoza.

DraftKings CFB DFS Picks - Running Backs

Bryson Washington, Baylor ($9.1K)

This is an absolute dream matchup for Washington. Oklahoma State is allowing 258.5 rushing yards per game this season. Only five teams allow more. Auburn shut down Washington in Week 1, but he has 361 yards on the ground and four rushing touchdowns since.

Washington could be in for a monster game if the Pokes manage to keep this close after firing Mike Gundy this week. Another 100+ rushing yards is all but guaranteed, and I'll be shocked if he doesn't score more than once.

Isaac Brown, Louisville ($7.7K)

Brown only had one carry against Bowling Green that went for 18 yards before he left with a "lower body injury." He has been listed as questionable all week, but it feels like he'll play. College teams just have no reason to be honest about injuries.

We likely won't know the true status of Brown or Pittsburgh's Desmond Reid until just before kickoff. If you don't have time to monitor the news, it's best to avoid this situation. I'll be plugging in Brown if he plays and Reid if Brown is out. Keyjuan Brown is the real winner for Louisville if Isaac is out.

This one requires a leap of faith because we all know how tough the Ohio State run defense is. However, Washington also gets Coleman involved in pass plays. He has four plays of 20+ yards in the passing game. Even if the Buckeyes shut him down on the ground, Washington is going to get him the ball.

Coleman only had 59 yards rushing in the Apple Cup, but he still piled up 43.3 DK points. His 10 touchdowns lead the country, and Coleman has only played in three games! Most have played in four games already.

Demond Claiborne, Wake Forest ($5.9K)

Teams have had solid success running against Georgia Tech so far this year. The Bees have allowed 155.2 rushing yards per game. Tech clamps down in the red zone, but there are yards to be had for Claiborne, and he's cheap.

The Wolfpack held Claiborne to just 35 rushing yards, but he did his damage with eight receptions for 33 yards to salvage his DFS day. The volume is going to be there for Claiborne through the air or on the ground.

Leshon Williams, Kansas ($3.9K)

Daniel Hishaw Jr. is a bit banged up coming into this one. If Hishaw misses the game, then Williams is a must-play. Even if Hishaw plays, we should see enough production out of Williams. He couldn't gain traction against Missouri, but Williams turned in good performances against Fresno and West Virginia after Hishaw went down. He's a good punt play on a slate where we need some.

Jeremiah Smith, Ohio State ($9K)

Smith's athletic ability is unquestioned, and his catch radius is insane. Texas did a good job on Smith, and he still had six catches. He put up some big numbers against Grambling and Ohio. It won't be as easy against Washington, but we have seen Julian Sayin just chuck it downfield because he knows that Smith is there somewhere and can catch anything.

O'Mega Blake, Arkansas ($6K)

Taylen Green's hero ball still needs a sidekick. That's Blake. He has 24 receptions for 326 yards and three touchdowns so far. Blake hasn't had fewer than five receptions in any game, and last week was his first week without a touchdown. He still accounted for 12 DK points.

The way to attack the Irish is through the air, so I think we'll see Arkansas take to the passing game a little more this week. If they do, Blake could be in for a monster game.

Mario Craver, Texas A&M ($5.2K)

Craver's price is really out of whack. He has 20 receptions for 443 yards and four touchdowns in just three games. 25.4 DK points is his lowest total of the season. Craver should be priced up with Smith and Lemon, but I'm glad he's not.

We saw Oklahoma get deep on Auburn a couple of times last week. Craver and the Aggies will be able to as well. 25 DK points are probably closer to the ceiling than the floor for this week, but you absolutely can't beat the price.

Anthony Evans III, Mississippi State ($4.9K)

Evans leads the Bulldogs in receptions (21) and yards (290) through four games. He's the one who turned in the big game against Arizona State, but Brenen Thompson is the guy who makes the big plays. I like both in this game environment, and both are very affordable.

I side with Evans for most lineups since he is targeted more and sometimes gets carries out of the backfield. Thompson will likely need a big play to get to where we need him. Evans' production is more organic.

Malachi Fields, Notre Dame ($3.8K)

The Virginia transfer has turned into the go-to guy for Carr. Fields has 20 catches for 203 yards and a touchdown so far this year. Eli Raridon gets more targets as the check-down for Carr, but Fields should be open plenty against this Arkansas secondary.

• Cam Coleman, Auburn ($6.9K)
• Josh Cameron, Baylor ($6.3K)
• Chris Brazzell II, Tennessee ($5.8K)
• Eric Rivers, Georgia Tech ($5.3K)

• Emmanuel Henderson Jr., Kansas ($4.7K)
• Justin Bowick, Illinois ($3K)

DraftKings CFB DFS Stacks

Notre Dame vs. Arkansas

It's nice knowing which players to use in a Notre Dame stack this year. Riley Leonard spread the ball around to about 20 different receivers and maybe a couple of coaches last year. This year, we know where to look.

A popular option is going to be to stack Carr with both Raridon and Fields with Jeremiyah Love as the fourth piece. Jordan Faison could be a nice fifth piece for a full stack. So could touchdown-hunter extraordinaire, Jadarian Price. Price is best used in GPPs due to the lower number of guaranteed touches.

I like running the four or five-man Irish stack back with Taylen Green and O'Mega Blake. If you go that route with Carr/Love/Fields/Raridon, you have $4.6K left for RB/FLEX. I like the idea of adding Mike Washington Jr. and using a $3K flier at WR.

Tennessee vs. Mississippi State

This has the feeling of one of those games that could blow up. Joey Aguilar makes the Tennessee offense go, but who do we put with him? There is a true committee situation at running back, with DeSean Bishop and Star Thomas both getting about an even split. They are priced well enough to use both. That is a tactic that could separate you from other Tennessee stacks.

Chris Brazzell II is a must in any Tennessee stack. I like Mike Matthews to complete the five-man. I may also run a variant with Brazzell/Matthews/Braylon Staley/Star Thomas with Aguilar and leave out Bishop. I will run back Tennessee stacks with two Bulldog receivers (Brenen Thompson and Anthony Evans III).

Also consider these stacks:

• Baylor (very expensive, so likely low ownership)
• Utah
• Indiana (GPP only)
