DraftKings CFB DFS Lineup Picks: Daily College Fantasy Football Friday Slate (10/3/25)

USF, SOUTH FLORIDA BULLS - NCAA College Team Logo Stock

Mike Marteny's DraftKings daily fantasy college football lineup picks for Friday 10/3/25 in Week 6. His CFB DFS lineup picks and DFS sleepers will help you win.

We have a nice four-game slate on DraftKings for Friday, but I have a bone to pick with them. Perhaps the best game of the night, Western Kentucky and Delaware, isn't on the slate. What gives? The game starts at the same time as the Charlotte/USF game. You guys put FCS teams on all the time! This should be right here with everyone else. Conference USA has real teams, too.

We open the night in Tampa with Charlotte in town. New Mexico heads to San Jose to take on the Spartans. Colorado State heads to San Diego to take on the Aztecs. The nightcap is in Provo with West Virginia visiting the Mormon Temple of LaVell Edwards Stadium.

In this article, I will provide you with my daily fantasy college football lineup picks for DraftKings on 10/3/25, starting at 7 p.m. Eastern. I’ll provide multiple player suggestions for quarterbacks, running backs, and wide receivers, aiming to highlight one option at each end of the salary scale, from the highest to the lowest. Good luck, RotoBallers.

DraftKings CFB DFS Picks - Quarterbacks

Walker Eget, San Jose State ($8.3K)

The two best games of Eget's career have come against Stanford, so we may not see a repeat of last weekend. The Lobos haven't allowed a 300-yard passer yet, but they have allowed more than 20 passing yards in all four games so far.

No team has come out QBs blazing either. The Spartans are going to let Eget throw it 50 times. Eget is a 300-yard game waiting to happen. He doesn't have the rush ability of Byrum Brown, but this should be a competitive game throughout. We can't say the same for USF/Charlotte.

Bear Bachmeier, BYU ($7.9K)

All Bear does is score touchdowns and run through people. He is becoming more polished as a passer, but he won't have to throw to beat West Virginia. Bachmeier has 10 total touchdowns without a turnover and finished two yards shy of his first 100-yard rushing game last week. That's coming soon. Maybe as soon as Friday night.

Also consider: Byrum Brown, South Florida ($8.7K); Jack Layne, New Mexico ($7.5K); Khalil Wilkins, West Virginia ($4.5K)

DraftKings CFB DFS Picks - Running Backs

Lucky Sutton, San Diego State ($6.8K)

Colorado State is the worst rush defense the Aztecs have faced since the opener against Stony Brook. Colorado State has allowed 169 rush yards per game at nearly 4.5 yards per carry. This is important because the Aztecs will likely run as much as anyone who has faced the Rams aside from Washington.

Sutton is good for around 15-20 touches per game. If he gets the average that Colorado State allows, that's around 90 yards and a touchdown. We all know that Sutton is above average, so a 100-yard game feels imminent.

Tye Edwards, West Virginia ($5.4K)

Edwards missed the Utah game with an injury after his big performance in the Backyard Brawl. BYU's run defense is very good, so it's going to be slow going for Edwards. Edwards carried 25 times against Pitt. We could see that kind of workload here as well, which makes him worth the risk for the price. Volume is still king in DFS.

Damon Bankston, New Mexico ($4.6K)

The New Mexico backfield has turned into a committee thanks to the play of Bankston. Scottre Humphrey gets around 15 touches per game. Bankston has 29 over the last two games, yet one is priced significantly higher. Give me the discount on Bankston for the same amount of usage.

Also consider: LJ Martin, BYU ($7.2K); Jalen Dupree, Colorado State ($5.6K); Rod Gainey Jr., Charlotte ($3.3K)

DraftKings CFB DFS Picks - Wide Receivers

Danny Scudero, San Jose State ($7.2K)

Scudero is the elite talent of this slate. He's a target hog, hauling in at least six passes in every game. His 130 yards per game is the most in FBS right now. The only knock on Scudero is that he has only three touchdowns so far, but two of those came last week. He's trending upward.

Scudero even posted 12.6 DraftKings points against a strong Texas defense. He can be used in any matchup, whether he scores a touchdown or not.

Jordan Napier, San Diego State ($6.2K)

It's strange to see the Aztecs have such a productive receiver, but a new offensive scheme has seen the Aztecs throw more than usual. Napier is the usual target. He has 25 of the team's 60 receptions through four games.

Napier also has 290 of the 670 passing yards. The only place where Napier isn't dominating is touchdowns. He only has one of the three, but the sheer volume makes him worth using on PPR sites such as DraftKings.

Javen Nicholas, Charlotte ($5.3K)

The 49ers are four-touchdown underdogs, so you can bet they'll be trying to throw the ball to stay competitive. Nicholas has 21 receptions in the last three games for 261 yards and a touchdown. Nicholas has been the most consistent Charlotte receiver. 10 of E. Jai Mason's 22 receptions came in one game. Nicholas will get you the consistent numbers.

Kyri Shoels, San Jose State ($4.7K)

Whenever a team has to roll so much coverage to a star receiver, the guy on the other side is bound to be open more. Eget isn't afraid to throw to any of his receivers. Shoels has stepped up with teams focusing on Scudero.

He has 21 receptions in the last three games for 255 yards and a pair of touchdowns. This game should stay competitive, and San Jose throws the ball more than any team in the country (69.01%). This offense can sustain two receivers without a problem.

Also consider: Chase Roberts, BYU ($6.5K); Chas Nimrod, South Florida ($6.1K); E. Jai Mason, Charlotte ($5.1K); Carsen Ryan, BYU ($4K)

DraftKings CFB DFS Stacks

San Jose State vs. New Mexico

I'm starting with the game that should be the most competitive. I'm not opposed to a game stack here either. It's hard to run a five-man Spartans stack since the Spartans don't run the ball much and they have a backfield committee...until they don't.

Jabari Bates is expected to miss this game, so I'm tempted to run Floyd Chalk IV as part of this stack. Chalk has only two receptions on the season. Bates was the receiving threat out of the backfield. Chalk's backup for this game will be Lamar Radcliffe, who has not caught a pass this year in limited snaps.

Eget/Scudero is going to be a very popular pairing. Many will also add Shoels for a three-man stack. Leland Smith was the third musketeer last week. All three receivers hit more than 100 yards receiving. Adding Chalk, who has the backfield to himself for this game, will differentiate you from many San Jose Stacks. I like the idea of running this back with Jack Layne and Dorian Thomas.

San Diego State vs. Colorado State

Most players are just going to run one or two pieces of San Diego State, but I think we could still make a stack out of this to set ourselves apart. Sutton and Jordan Napier can be run alone, but I like the idea of adding Jacob Bostick to make it a three-man stack to pair with a full SJSU stack.

Giving up the superflex to a non-quarterback is risky, but it may pay off in large-field GPPs. However, on a night where a couple of receivers could outscore quarterbacks, especially if you run all three San Jose receivers, it could win you a GPP.

Also consider: BYU (mini), Charlotte (GPP only)
