Mike Carter is a fantasy baseball analyst and writer at RotoBaller, a multi-award-winning fantasy sports media company. He has followed baseball for more than 40 years and began writing about fantasy baseball in 2020. Mike first started playing fantasy baseball in high school with friends and quickly developed a passion for the strategy and analysis behind the game. His writing often focuses on bullpen usage, reliever roles, and uncovering waiver-wire gems who can help fantasy managers replace injured or underperforming players. In addition to his work at RotoBaller, Mike also works at Fantrax and co-hosts the weekly podcast The Fantasy Baseball Beat alongside Chris Torres and Dave Funnell. The show was nominated for a Fantasy Sports Writers Association (FSWA) Award for Best Fantasy Baseball Podcast in 2024. A lifelong and long-suffering Chicago White Sox fan, Mike spends much of his time around the game. By day, he serves as the principal of a therapeutic day school and coaches local freshman baseball each spring. His two most important contributions to the world, however, are his children, Ellie and Jack. You can find him on X (formerly known as Twitter) @mdrc0508.
