Caleb Williams, Chicago Bears
Chicago Bears quarterback Caleb Williams followed up a rocky rookie campaign by elevating his play under Ben Johnson, becoming the QB6 last year. The completion rate took a hit, but he made his throws count for more downfield, and the new scheme led to only 24 sacks against after absorbing 68 in '24. Williams' intended air yards per pass attempt bumped up from 7.9 to 8.5 as the next generation of Rome Odunze, Luther Burden III, and Colston Loveland got going.
"Iceman" led six fourth-quarter comebacks, earning a 77-388-3 rushing line with a receiving TD sprinkled in. Will he turn around in his third season and start using his legs more as a rusher, rather than extending the play for a deep shot? He just showed us that he doesn't need to do that to be a solid top-10 QB, but that would be his path to reaching the top tier. Our RotoBaller rank has him in the top eight next to his ADP around pick 64 as the QB6.
Matthew Stafford, Los Angeles Rams
Los Angeles Rams quarterback Matthew Stafford is coming off of the best statistical season of his career, throwing for a career-high 46 touchdowns while finishing as the QB3 in fantasy. Stafford won the MVP, playing at the highest level of his 17-year career, yet the Rams remained focused on the future of the position in the 2026 NFL Draft when they selected Alabama quarterback Ty Simpson with the thirteenth pick in the first round.
The selection of Simpson does not put any immediate pressure on Stafford, but the addition of his eventual replacement does add extra incentive to remain playing at the highest level possible. Los Angeles returns both Davante Adams and Puka Nacua, reuniting Stafford with the lethal receiving duo that allowed him to play at an MVP level. There are no indicators that his play will fall off this season, and he should be among the top quarterbacks off of the board in 2026 fantasy drafts.
Jared Goff, Detroit Lions
Lions quarterback Jared Goff has finished as the QB10, QB7, QB6, and QB9 across his last four seasons in Detroit, and despite working in an era where quarterbacks of his archetype are starting to play into their late-30s and beyond, the 31-year-old former first overall pick has fallen all the way to QB18 in RotoBaller's redraft rankings. As one of the more durable quarterbacks in the league, Goff has missed only five games over the past nine seasons, and none since 2021, and his well-documented home/road splits have made his boom games comparatively easy to forecast, making him the perfect platoon quarterback for drafters opting for a two-quarterback or streaming approach to the position.
In what was considered a down year for the Lions' offense in 2025, Goff threw for 4,564 yards and 34 touchdowns to only eight interceptions. After a one-year adjustment period without offensive coordinator Ben Johnson, the Lions hired Drew Petzing to run the unit, fresh off a 2025 season with the Cardinals in which he led journeyman quarterback Jacoby Brissett to a QB5 pace across his 12 starts. With nine of 11 offensive starters returning to a team that has not ranked outside the top five in yards per game since 2021, fantasy managers who forego the position in the early rounds of drafts should be looking to take advantage of Goff's mispricing.
Malik Willis, Miami Dolphins
It's an exciting time for Malik Willis. The former Packer completed 78% of his passes for over 900 yards in reserve duty across two seasons, impressing general managers across the league with his progression as a quarterback. That made him the cream of the crop in the free agent quarterback class. The Miami Dolphins rewarded the backup to Jordan Love with a three-year, $67.5-million contract to be the team's starter this upcoming season. With his rushing abilities (174 yards in three starts with the Packers), Willis is the type of quarterback that fantasy managers love.
He doesn't necessarily need strong passing numbers to rack up fantasy points, which is good, because his receiver corps may be the weakest in the league. The Dolphins traded Jaylen Waddle to Denver this offseason, and Tyreek Hill is no longer part of the team. That leaves Malik Washington, Tutu Atwell, Jalen Tolbert, and three middle-round rookies atop the depth chart. If Willis and running back De'Von Achane can keep the offense humming, he'll outplay his mid-to-low-end QB2 ranking. Otherwise, the lack of skill position talent could keep the former third-round pick from enjoying a breakout campaign.
Joe Burrow, Cincinnati Bengals
Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow enters 2026 as a high-end QB1 option after an injury-shortened season. Burrow played eight games in 2025, completing 173 of 259 passes for 1,809 yards, 17 touchdowns, and five interceptions while posting a 100.7 passer rating. He suffered a Grade 3 turf toe injury to his left foot in Week 2, underwent surgery, and missed nine games before returning late in the season.
The finish was encouraging, as Burrow was fantasy's QB5 from Week 13 through Week 18. Cincinnati remains a strong passing environment with HC Zac Taylor and OC Dan Pitcher back, along with star wide receivers Ja'Marr Chase and Tee Higgins locked into long-term deals, and the Bengals ranking second in the NFL in pass attempts last season. Chase Brown also gives Burrow a productive receiving option out of the backfield. Burrow is not a rushing-driven fantasy quarterback, but that has never been the foundation of his value.
He is currently going around 56th overall as the QB3 on Sleeper, while RotoBaller ranks him 68th overall and QB5. The price is aggressive, but Cincinnati's volume and supporting cast keep Burrow firmly in the high-end QB1 mix as long as he can avoid another major injury.
