Shelby Miller Back From Injured List, Ready for Brewers Debut
Shelby Miller (forearm) from the 15-day injured list and sent left-hander Robert Gasser (elbow) to Triple-A Nashville on a minor-league rehab start in a corresponding move. Miller was acquired by the Brewers to bolster their bullpen at the July 31 trade deadline but has yet to make his debut with his new club. Prior to the trade and his injury, the veteran right-handed had become the Diamondbacks' primary closer in the desert. Miller has been great this year with a 1.98 ERA, 10 saves and eight holds in his 36 1/3 innings, but he figures to lose plenty of fantasy appeal with the move to Milwaukee because he'll likely serve in a late-inning setup role in front of closer Trevor Megill. Still, Miller will continue to have value in holds leagues if he continues to pitch like he was before his forearm setback.
