NASCAR DFS and Betting Preview for Indianapolis - Brickyard 400

Bubba Wallace - NASCAR DFS Picks, Betting Picks, Daily Fantasy NASCAR

Jordan's NASCAR DFS and NASCAR betting preview for Dover. Betting odds, favorites, long shots, DFS picks, and more for the 2025 Brickyard 400.

The NASCAR Cup Series makes its annual return to famed Indianapolis Motor Speedway this weekend, as the Brickyard 400 is set to take place on Sunday afternoon.

Indianapolis Motor Speedway needs no introduction. This is one of the most famous race tracks in the world, and the Brickyard is one of NASCAR's Crown Jewel races. For comparison tracks, we're looking at Pocono from a month ago as the best comp for this weekend.

In the Next Gen era, we have only had one race on the oval itself, as NASCAR ran the road course track for several years. Last year, it was Kyle Larson who grabbed his first Brickyard 400 win ahead of Tyler Reddick, Ryan Blaney, Christopher Bell, and Bubba Wallace.

Weekend Schedule at Indianapolis

There are 160 laps scheduled for this weekend's Brickyard 400, with the first two Stages split into 50 laps each laps. That will leave us 60 laps for the final Stage and run to the checkered flag.

The weekend schedule for this weekend's race at Indianapolis Motor Speedway is a little different than normal, as we will get practice and qualifying split between two days:

  • Practice: 1:00-1:55 pm ET on Friday
  • Qualifying: 2:35-3:20 pm ET on Saturday
  • Start Time Green Flag for Race: 2:15 pm ET on Sunday
  • Broadcast TV: truTV

The Favorites Heading Into the Race Weekend

Denny Hamlin (+500 to win) - Fresh off of his fourth win of the season, Denny Hamlin will be looking to get his first-ever Brickyard 400 victory on Sunday. Over the last 10 races on the oval here, Hamlin has finished sixth or better six times, and in last year's race, Denny won Stage 1, finished third in Stage 2, and led 21 laps before wrecking out and ultimately ending up in 32nd-place. At Pocono last month, Hamlin finished second and had a race-winning car.

Ryan Blaney (+750 to win) - The Brickyard favors cars that generate horsepower, and the No. 12 Team Penske Ford does just that. Blaney finished third in this race last season and battled through a mid-pack starting spot at Pocono last month to come home with a podium finish at "The Tricky Triangle." Additionally, over the last five races at Indianapolis, Blaney has posted a finish of fourth or better in six of the 10 Stages.

Chase Briscoe (+1100 to win) - We could talk about a few other guys here, but how about Mr. Momentum, Chase Briscoe? After grabbing another podium finish at Dover last weekend, Briscoe will now bring back the same car he won with at Pocono last month to the Brickyard this weekend. He only has one Cup Series start on the oval here, but if that No. 19 Toyota is blazing fast yet again, Briscoe could challenge for another win.

Underdogs to Keep an Eye On

Brad Keselowski (+2200 to win) - Remember the Pocono race a month ago? Keselowski's No. 6 Ford was arguably the strongest in the field, but the team kept shooting itself in the foot. If they have that speed at Indianapolis this weekend, BK can definitely win this race. He led 35 laps here last season and has finishes of fourth, second, and a win over his last five starts on the IMS oval.

Bubba Wallace (+3000 to win) - Indy is actually a really strong track for Bubba Wallace. In fact, some would argue that it's his best track on the schedule. In races where he hasn't had any issues at IMS, Bubba has recorded finishes of fifth, ninth, and third. He's on the Playoffs bubble right now, but a win would secure the No. 23 team's spot in the postseason, so you know they'll roll the dice if they're in position on Sunday.

John Hunter Nemechek (+10000 to win) - It's hard to be confident in betting JHN to win this weekend's Brickyard 400, but he could be a sleeper for a top-10 finish (or better). Nemechek had legitimate speed at Indianapolis last season and even led 16 laps, but pit strategy put him back in the pack and he ended up crashing and finishing 29th. At Pocono last month, JHN qualified fourth and finished sixth.
