Griffin Canning Strikes Out Seven in Win on Wednesday
Griffin Canning turned in an excellent start in his team's 6-1 win over the Los Angeles Dodgers on Wednesday. Canning tossed six scoreless innings while allowing three hits, striking out seven, and walking one to improve his record to 6-2. It has been an impressive season for Canning, who shut down one of baseball's best teams in the Dodgers on Wednesday. He now has a 2.90 ERA, 1.32 WHIP, and 57 strikeouts over 59 innings of work in his first year with the Mets. Canning has developed into a reliable fantasy starter, as well, who can be trusted in starting lineups for his next start, which will be against the Washington Nationals on Tuesday.
