Blade Tidwell Promoted To Major Leagues
Blade Tidwell to the major league roster. Mike Mayer of Metsmerized noted that manager Carlos Mendoza discussed the possibility of using a spot starter over the weekend. Tidwell has spent the start of the campaign with Triple-A Syracuse. Through his first 27 frames of work, the right-hander has struck out 37 batters and held a 5.00 ERA with a 1.33 WHIP. In 2024, the Tennessee product made his Triple-A debut and held an underwhelming 5.93 ERA with a 1.56 WHIP across 85 innings of work. Across this stint, the No. 16-ranked prospect in the system struck out 77 batters. Given his increasing strikeout potential, Tidwell could be worth a look as a streaming option in deeper formats if he is given a start.
