Zach Agnos Optioned to Triple-A
Zach Agnos to Triple-A. In a corresponding move, the Rockies activated left-handed pitcher Austin Gomber (shoulder) from the 60-day injured list. Agnos made his MLB debut earlier this season and was quickly deployed in a high-leverage role. Through his first 8 2/3 innings of work, the No. 24-ranked prospect in the system posted a 3.2 ERA with a 0.92 WHIP. During this stretch, he tallied two saves and one hold. However, over his last 3 1/3 innings, Agnos has struggled, allowing six hits and 10 earned runs. Given his recent slump, the Rockies will opt for him to continue his development with Triple-A. While he heads back to the minor leagues, fantasy managers should expect Seth Halvorsen and Tyler Kinley to operate as the go-to options in save situations.
