Derrick Henry 2023 Fantasy Outlook: The King Attempts To Stay On The Throne
1 year agoAfter an injury-plagued 2021 campaign in which he appeared in a career-low eight games, Derrick Henry rebounded in a monster way in 2022. The Titans' workhorse made those fantasy managers that doubted him on draft day pay, as he rumbled for 1,538 yards and 13 TDs on the ground while leading the NFL with 349 rushing attempts. Henry was also surprisingly useful in the Tennessee passing attack, logging career highs in targets (41), receptions (33), and receiving yards (398) last season. While conventional wisdom tells us that the now-29-year-old veteran will eventually slow down, Henry has continued to perform at a high level when healthy. There are serious concerns about Tennessee's retooled offense in 2023, though head coach Mike Vrabel has remained steadfastly committed to Henry and the running game throughout his time at the helm in Nashville. The veteran currently stands as the RB8 in our 2023 RotoBaller rankings, though as always, his usage and talent offer a path to elite fantasy upside.
