Free daily fantasy basketball lineup picks for today's slate on DraftKings and FanDuel. Use Koby's NBA DFS expert picks to build winning DFS lineups on May 29, 2025.
Welcome back, RotoBallers! We are back for Game 5 between the Indiana Pacers and the New York Knicks. The Pacers hold a 3-1 lead on the Knicks and look to close them out here in Game 5. Karl-Anthony Towns and Aaron Nesmith are both questionable coming into this one, but I imagine we see both play with the series on the line here.
I will help you dive into the slate and hopefully bring in some more cash for the rest of the playoffs! This article will focus on the top guys to play at MVP, some flex guys to put in your utility spots, and a couple of value options to make the rest of the lineup work! The key to succeeding in NBA DFS is making adjustments during the day as injury information becomes available.
But it's always essential to have a game plan and zero in on the best players and spots before making those adjustments. This article will provide my daily fantasy basketball lineup picks for DraftKings on 5/29/25. Remember to monitor NBA injury news and our excellent NBA injuries report tool, as the slate can completely change before lineups lock at 8:00 p.m. EDT on DraftKings.
Today's NBA DFS MVP/Captain Picks
These are the guys you want headlining your lineups at the MVP position (on FanDuel) or Captain position (on DraftKings). Note: FanDuel has now moved to the same type of dynamic pricing that DraftKings uses, where the MVP selection costs 1.5x their regular salary.
Tyrese Haliburton, IND - PG/SG ($17.1K DK, $21.9K FD)
Tyrese has been going ballistic during the playoffs. He has made nearly every team look easy for him. He has at least a double-double in three of his last four games and is coming off one of the best playoff performances recently. He has been the most consistent in this series, and there is a solid amount of value to make it worth putting him in the MVP position.
Tyrese Haliburton is the first player in NBA history to drop 30/15/10 with 0 turnovers in a playoff game.

Karl-Anthony Towns, NYK - PF/C ($15.6K DK, $19.2K FD)
I think many people will go to Jalen Brunson for the Knicks player for MVP. We get a bit of a discount on KAT compared to Brunson, and we have seen what he can do as he has a double-double in three of his last four games. If he can score like he did in Game 1, then KAT could be one of the top scorers on the slate. The series is on the line, and we need a big game from KAT to stay alive.
Others To Consider: Jalen Brunson - PG, Pascal Siakam - PF
Today's NBA DFS Utility
These players are ones you may want to add to your Utility spots!
Pascal Siakam, IND - PF ($9K DK, $10.4K FD)
When Pascal is at his best, the Pacers are a better team overall. The minutes are there, and as long as the scoring is there, then Siakam will produce quite well. He has 35+ fantasy points in five of his last six playoff games. The Knicks have had a hard time stopping him from scoring, and with the potential for them to end the series right here, I expect Siakam to be at his best.
Josh Hart, NYK - SF/PF ($7.6K DK, $6.8K FD)
It is weird seeing Josh Hart as cheap as he is. Even coming off the bench, he is still seeing 35+ minutes, and we have all seen his potential when getting big minutes. Hart is a double-double machine, and although he hasn't shown it much in the playoffs, with the game on the line, I expect Hart to be as aggressive as ever to try and get the Knicks the win.
Others To Consider: OG Anunoby - SF/PF, Myles Turner - C

Today's NBA DFS Value Picks
Mitchell Robinson, NYK - C ($5.4K DK, $3.8K FD)
Mitchell Robinson brings out the most value on this slate. He is filthy cheap and has shown how valuable he can be for this offense. He has 19+ fantasy points in all four games of the ECF. His minutes haven't been consistent, but I think they have seen decent success with him on the court alongside KAT.

He brings the most value at his price and should be highly considered as some of the best value on the slate, with the potential minutes he should see in this one.
Andrew Nembhard, IND - PG/SG ($6.6K DK, $5.4K FD)
Nembhard is a bit of a step up from some of the rest of the cheaper plays, but his minutes can't be ignored. He has 35+ minutes in three of his last four games, and in the one-off, he had a bad shooting night, resulting in him seeing more minutes on the bench. As long as he can hit his shots, he should be able to get back on track and finish with a 20+ fantasy night.
Others to Consider: Aaron Nesmith - SG/SF/PF, T.J. McConnell - PG
