Fantasy Baseball Waiver Wire Hitters - Category Boosters for HR, SB, RBI, AVG, Runs (Week 25)

josh bell fantasy baseball rankings draft sleepers MLB injury news

Mike's fantasy baseball waiver wire hitters to add as category boosters for Week 25 of 2025. His top hitters to pick up or stream for HR, RBI, SB, AVG, and runs.

Welcome back to our Fantasy Baseball Waiver Wire Hitters - Category Boosters column for Week 25 of the 2025 MLB season. This is the week we have been waiting for: the week in which those elusive championships are won or lost.

In most leagues, we are down to our last waiver wire period coming this weekend. What gives you that final push over the top? Which player allows you those last stats to be able to win your league or finish in the money? It's an exciting time!

We will aim to give you three options for each of the five offensive categories in a standard five-by-five league. Our rule: All hitters will be listed according to their percentage of rostered players on Yahoo!, with a maximum of 50 percent. Let's look at names that might be under the radar, but who can help you now.

Be sure to check all of our fantasy baseball draft tools and resources:

Runs Scored (R) - Fantasy Baseball Waiver Wire Boosters

Daylen Lile, OF, Washington Nationals (45% rostered)

Lile appeared in this piece last week, and he remains a great pickup in deep leagues. Lile continues to hit well in his extended chance with the Nationals, with a .389 average in September with three homers, seven RBI, and 13 runs scored.

The youngster is making a strong case to be part of the Washington outfield next year, consisting of James Wood and Dylan Crews. He has six homers, 31 RBI, eight stolen bases, and 46 runs scored in 82 games.

Harrison Bader, OF, Philadelphia Phillies (39% rostered)

Bader is doing his annual hot streak at a good time for the Phillies. The veteran outfielder, acquired at the trade deadline, is hitting .362 in the last two weeks with three homers, 11 RBI, a steal, and 13 runs scored. He is also hitting leadoff now on this contending team.

Brandon Marsh, OF, Philadelphia Phillies (9% rostered)

Marsh has been great since the All-Star break, as you can see below. In September, he's hitting .378 with three home runs, 12 RBI, and 12 runs scored while batting in the middle of a powerful Philadelphia lineup. Rostering him while he is this hot makes sense.

Home Runs (HR) - Fantasy Baseball Waiver Wire Boosters

Jake Burger, 1B/3B, Texas Rangers (38% rostered)

Burger has hit four home runs in the last 10 days and is getting the at-bats for a Texas team fighting for a playoff spot. The veteran corner infielder is streaky, and the hope is that he can go on one of his noted power binges over the next week or so.

Sal Stewart, 1B/2B/3B, Cincinnati Reds (25% rostered)

The rookie has become a hot roster addition this week, doubling his rostership. He is hitting like he invented it this week: .350, two home runs, three RBI, and five runs scored. He had the same line last week.

Stewart is the kind of late-season addition who can help you win the league. He will be gobbled up as the week wears on, so get your bids in now.

Kody Clemens, 1B/2B/3B/OF, Minnesota Twins (10% rostered)

Clemens made the Twins as a late-minute spring addition, but has hit well all season despite being an afterthought in most leagues. He has five home runs over the last two weeks, with a .270 batting average and 10 RBI. Clemens has 19 home runs in 2025, a career-high.

Runs Batted In (RBI) - Fantasy Baseball Waiver Wire Boosters

Addison Barger, 3B/OF, Toronto Blue Jays (33% rostered)

Raise your hand if you knew that Barger had 20 home runs in 2025. Put your hand down, liar. Barger has hit a new level, hitting .253 with the aforementioned 20 homers, 72 RBI, four stolen bases, and 58 runs scored.

The third baseman and outfielder is hitting .303 with two homers and 11 RBI over the last two weeks. The fact that you can use him at third base and outfield adds an extra dimension to his game.

Josh Bell, 1B, Washington Nationals (14% rostered)

Bell has experienced a great run over the last two weeks, hitting a robust .289 with four homers, 15 RBI, and seven runs scored over that time frame. He is often on the waiver wire in many leagues, but Bell is a player who can help the right fantasy roster.

It feels like you can count on Bell to hit 20 home runs and knock in about 70 runs annually, and his Statcast data supports that he is a productive player when he gets the opportunity.

Patrick Bailey, C, San Francisco Giants (7% rostered)

Bailey is among the best defenders at his position, but his offense lagged. Until now, that is. Bailey has three home runs and 11 RBI over the last two weeks, also scoring seven runs in the process. Bailey fits well in two-catcher leagues with his current hot bat.

Stolen Bases (SB) - Fantasy Baseball Waiver Wire Boosters

Jose Caballero, 2B/3B/SS/OF, New York Yankees (24% rostered)

Caballero has largely wrestled the starting shortstop job away from Anthony Volpe, who has been injured and ineffective. Caballero is hitting .269 over the last two weeks, chipping in a homer, three runs scored, and five stolen bases. That is why you play him.

Caleb Durbin, 2B/3B/SS, Milwaukee Brewers (19% rostered)

Durbin struggled in the latter stages of August, but he is hot again in September. He's hitting .303 this month with a homer, three RBI, six runs scored, and four stolen bases. Add in eligibility at three infield positions, and you have help for the last 10 days of the season.

Mickey Moniak, OF, Colorado Rockies (12% rostered)

Moniak found his way onto the Colorado roster and has produced his best season. He is hitting .270 with 22 homers, 65 RBI, and nine stolen bases. Four of those homers and three of those steals have come in the last two weeks. Need outfield depth? Grab Moniak.

Batting Average (AVG) - Fantasy Baseball Waiver Wire Boosters

Gabriel Moreno, Arizona Diamondbacks (32% rostered)

Moreno has fought off injuries so often that many players forget how talented he is and how much he can help your squad. The backstop is hitting .353 with two home runs, seven RBI, and nine runs scored over the last two weeks. Replace your struggling catcher with Moreno.

Ernie Clement, 1B/2B/3B/SS, Toronto Blue Jays (25% rostered)

Clement has been an unsung hero all season for Toronto, manning all four infield spots at different times. He's hitting .325 over the last two weeks and has chipped in five RBI, a steal, and 10 runs scored. He won't wow you with power, but he can hit. See below.

Otto Kemp, 1B/2B/3B/OF, Philadelphia Phillies (22% rostered)

Kemp has rediscovered his swing as of late, and fantasy players could reap the benefits of his play if they roster him. The versatile Kemp has a .323 batting average the last two weeks with two home runs and seven RBI, with a steal and six runs scored.

Remember, this is it. No matter whether you win or lose this week, I hope you recall the most important thing about the game of fantasy baseball: it is supposed to be fun. It is a great distraction from the doldrums of daily life for so many!

I hope this helps you out! Good luck and happy hunting, RotoBallers! You can always message me @mdrc0508 on X to complain about my picks or make other suggestions!
