Week 4 Fantasy Football Outlooks
Below are some fantasy football outlooks written by our NFL team here at RotoBaller, bringing you their fantasy football analysis and advice on which players to consider starting in Week 4:
Keaton Mitchell, Los Angeles Chargers
Los Angeles Chargers running back Keaton Mitchell (ankle) was wearing a walking boot on his left foot when the locker room was open to reporters, according to ESPN's Kris Rhim. Mitchell initially wasn't on the injury report, but was later added as being limited due to an ankle issue.
Mitchell said he was "OK" according to Rhim, so there is still a chance he is able to play this weekend when the Chargers take on the Seahawks. Mitchell is getting some deserved attention after a strong showing in Week 3 against the Bills, when he scored the team's only touchdown, racked up 52 yards on eight carries, and hauled in all three of his targets for a loss of five yards. Mitchell will be a deep-league FLEX option if he's healthy for Week 4, while Kimani Vidal would be worth a look if Mitchell's injury ends up costing him a game.
Tre Harris, Los Angeles Chargers
Los Angeles Chargers wide receiver Tre' Harris was able to break out during this past weekend's matchup against the Buffalo Bills. Harris was fairly quiet during the first two games of the year, but he made a solid impact on Sunday. Harris hauled in six of his seven targets for 76 yards in the loss to the Bills.
Both the receptions and receiving yards are new season high for Harris. The hope is that this good performance will lead to more opportunities for Harris during the Week 4 matchup against the New England Patriots. Harris is worth a look in deep leagues after this six-catch performance.
Ashton Jeanty, Las Vegas Raiders
Las Vegas Raiders running back Ashton Jeanty was busy on the ground during the Week 3 matchup against the New Orleans Saints. Jeanty carried the ball 19 times for 56 yards, while hauling in three passes for 37 additional yards in the victory over the Saints.
The 22-year-old is the clear workhorse back with 19 carries or more in every game this season. Sadly, it hasn't resulted in a ton of yardage, with Jeanty being held to under three yards per carry in each of the last two games. Fantasy managers should expect the Raiders to continue pounding the ball with Jeanty every week. He'll look to have more success on the ground against the Kansas City Chiefs next weekend.
Chris Olave, New Orleans Saints
New Orleans Saints wide receiver Chris Olave has strengthened his fantasy value with another heavy-volume performance in Week 3. Olave caught nine of 13 targets for 107 yards against Las Vegas, giving him at least eight receptions and 86 receiving yards in all three games this season.
He has already drawn 36 targets, turning them into 27 catches for 375 yards and one touchdown. The touchdown total is modest, but the workload has been anything but. Olave has led the Saints in targets every week, and Tyler Shough continues to look his way at a high rate regardless of game script.
That combination of volume and production has pushed Olave back into the top tier at the position, with RotoBaller ranking him WR4 in its early Week 4 half-PPR rankings. New Orleans hosts Atlanta on Monday night, but the bigger fantasy takeaway is that Olave's role has been both large and remarkably consistent through the first three weeks.
Jauan Jennings, Minnesota Vikings
Minnesota Vikings wide receiver Jauan Jennings has caught only one pass for one yard since joining the team on a one-year free agent deal, but with four-time All-Pro Justin Jefferson (ankle) potentially sidelined, he could be thrust into a larger role. Jefferson left Sunday's win over the Buccaneers, and while initial reports indicate his ankle injury doesn't appear overly serious, his status will need to be monitored leading up to a Week 4 matchup with the Dolphins.
In Jefferson's absence, Jordan Addison led the team with 90 yards and a touchdown on five catches, and he becomes a priority add wherever available, but Jennings should also see more involvement if Jefferson suffers a setback or misses time.
