Free daily fantasy basketball lineup picks for today's slate on DraftKings and FanDuel. Use Koby's NBA DFS expert picks to build winning DFS lineups on June 5, 2025.
Welcome back, RotoBallers! The day is finally here! The NBA Finals are down to the Indiana Pacers and the Oklahoma City Thunder. If you had told me this is who it would have been at the beginning of the season, I might have said you are absurd. The Pacers have proved they are here for the long haul. Are they ready for the freight train that is the Thunder, though?
I will help you dive into the slate and hopefully bring in some more cash for the rest of the playoffs! This article will focus on the top guys to play at MVP, some flex guys to put in your utility spots, and a couple of value options to make the rest of the lineup work! The key to succeeding in NBA DFS is making adjustments during the day as injury information becomes available.
But it's always essential to have a game plan and zero in on the best players and spots before making those adjustments. This article will provide my daily fantasy basketball lineup picks for DraftKings on 6/5/25. Remember to monitor NBA injury news and our excellent NBA injuries report tool, as the slate can completely change before lineups lock at 8:30 p.m. EDT on DraftKings.
Today's NBA DFS MVP/Captain Picks
These are the guys you want headlining your lineups at the MVP position (on FanDuel) or Captain position (on DraftKings). Note: FanDuel has now moved to the same type of dynamic pricing that DraftKings uses, where the MVP selection costs 1.5x their regular salary.
Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, OKC - PG ($18.3K DK, $24.3K FD)
SGA has driven this team to the NBA Finals. Now, he gets a Finals matchup that he has had big success against during the regular season. He has put up 56.4 and 73.4 fantasy points in two matchups this season against Indiana. The point guard position has been a difficult spot for the Pacers to guard, as they were torched by Jalen Brunson and Donovan Mitchell multiple times. SGA is likely going to be the highest-scoring player on the slate.
Pascal Siakam, IND - PF ($14.1K DK, $16.2K FD)
The Thunder are going to have their hands full with Tyrese Haliburton, which could lead to Pascal Siakam seeing larger usage. Siakam came out on top of the Eastern Conference Finals, winning the MVP for that series. He scored 35+ fantasy points in all but one game during the ECF. The Pacers will now lean on him more than ever, considering he is one of the few guys who has Finals experience.

Others To Consider: Tyrese Haliburton - PG/SG (FD), Jalen Williams- SF/PF
Today's NBA DFS Utility
These players are ones you may want to add to your Utility spots!
Chet Holmgren, OKC - PF/C ($8.8K DK, $9.4K FD)
Chet Holmgren hasn't played against the Pacers this season, but I think his size and mobility will be a problem for Indiana. He had 40+ fantasy points in back-to-back games to send Minnesota packing. He hasn't been putting up quite the numbers that Jalen Williams has been, but he is $3K cheaper on FD and a grand cheaper on DK. He makes it a bit easier to build your lineups when you are stacking with SGA.
Andrew Nembhard, IND - PG/SG ($7.4K DK, $6K FD)
Andrew Nembhard had one of his best games of the playoffs in the game that sent New York home. He had six steals and a block that helped propel him to a near-50 fantasy point performance. He has played well against the Thunder this year with 45.3 and 31.5 fantasy point games. At his price, that makes for some killer value and could make for a decently cheap MVP option.
Others To Consider: Myles Turner - C

Today's NBA DFS Value Picks
Obi Toppin, IND - PF/C (DK) ($3.6K DK, $2.2K FD)
With Aaron Nesmith dealing with an ankle injury and Jarace Walker going down, that opens up bigger minutes for Obi Toppin to take over off the bench. He has 17 and 25 minutes in the two games since Nesmith hurt his ankle. In his last game, he finished with 34 fantasy points. As long as Toppin continues to see more minutes, at his price, he makes for elite value.

Luguentz Dort, OKC - SG/SF ($4.8K DK, $3.4K FD)
Picking a value play from OKC can be a revolving disaster. Dort, I believe, presents the highest ceiling, but Cason Wallace and Alex Caruso have been better consistently off the bench. Dort had two 25+ fantasy point performances during the Western Conference Finals, and if he can use his defense to get a few steals and/or blocks, then Dort could once again be in for a solid night at his price.
Others to Consider: Alex Caruso - PG/SG/SF, T.J. McConnell - PG, Cason Wallace - PG/SG
