Dalton Schultz, Dalton Kincaid, Mike Gesicki: Start 'Em, Sit 'Em Picks for Fantasy Football Week 15

Dalton Kincaid - Fantasy Football Rankings, Draft Sleepers, NFL Injury News

Should I start Dalton Schultz, Dalton Kincaid, Mike Gesicki for Week 15? Fantasy football start em, sit em picks and recommendations for the 2024 NFL season.

Tight ends are often the wild card in fantasy football lineups. They can win you a week with a surprise touchdown or leave you scrambling after a dud performance.

With playoff hopes hanging in the balance, choosing the right player at this position could mean the difference between glory and heartbreak.

This week, we dive into three intriguing tight-end options — Dalton Schultz, Dalton Kincaid, and Mike Gesicki. Let's figure out who you can trust and who might leave you saying, "Maybe next year."

Should I Start Dalton Schultz for Fantasy Football?

Dalton Schultz delivered a solid performance in Week 13, catching five passes for 61 yards and a touchdown. It was his first trip to the end zone this season, but fantasy managers hoping for consistency might need to pump the brakes.

The Stanford product has only posted double-digit fantasy points once this year and has yet to establish himself as a reliable weekly starter. This week, the Houston Texans face the Miami Dolphins, a defense that has allowed the second-most fantasy points to tight ends over the last four weeks.

However, these numbers are skewed by a couple of standout games from Brock Bowers and Austin Hooper. Miami has generally been solid against the position, making this a less favorable matchup than it appears to be. Schultz is best left on your bench unless you are in a bind.

He is the TE18 in our half-PPR consensus staff rankings.

Should I Start Dalton Kincaid for Fantasy Football?

Dalton Kincaid appears close to returning after being listed as a full participant in practice. The Buffalo Bills' tight end has missed the last three games but should suit up for Sunday's contest with the Detroit Lions.

While the 25-year-old should immediately reclaim the starting role if active, this is not the week to trust him in your lineup. The Lions have been exceptional at defending tight ends, surrendering the fewest fantasy points per game to the position this season. They have given up two touchdowns to tight ends and an average of 3.62 receptions per game.

With Kincaid returning from injury in a tough matchup, the risk of a low-scoring performance is too great for playoff-bound fantasy managers. Sit the Utah alum this week and look for other options.

He is the TE12 in our half-PPR consensus staff rankings.

Should I Start Mike Gesicki for Fantasy Football?

Mike Gesicki is the epitome of boom-or-bust this season. He caught all three targets for 24 yards in Week 14, but his overall involvement in the Cincinnati Bengals' offense has been inconsistent. Despite the veteran TE's athleticism, Gesicki averages just 7.54 PPR points per game and ranks as TE18 this season.

The Bengals face the Tennessee Titans in Week 15, a defense that has conceded only four touchdowns to tight ends this year and ranks 10th in fewest points allowed to the position.

With little reason to believe Gesicki will buck that trend, he is a sit this week unless you have no better alternatives. The risk of a low-scoring game is too high this late in the season.

He is the TE25 in our half-PPR consensus staff rankings.
