Lenyn Sosa Activated and Starting on Tuesday
Lenyn Sosa (hip) from the 10-day injured list and optioned infielder/outfielder Brooks Baldwin to Triple-A Charlotte in a corresponding move. Sosa is in the starting lineup for Tuesday's game against the visiting St. Louis Cardinals, playing first base and batting seventh against Cardinals left-hander Matthew Liberatore. The 25-year-old had been serving as the team's starting second baseman before suffering a right hip-flexor strain, but he'll return to the cold corner with Chase Meidroth playing second on Tuesday. The Venezuelan infielder will be a middle-infield option in AL-only leagues for one of the worst teams in baseball, but he also carries third base eligibility in some formats. He'll return to a .274/.291/.383 slash line in 201 at-bats with four homers, 17 RBI and 15 runs scored.
