Josh Grosz Shipped to Colorado
Josh Grosz from the New York Yankees in exchange for third baseman Ryan McMahon. In this package, the Rockies are also acquiring left-handed pitching prospect Griffin Herring. Grosz has spent his entire campaign pitching at the High-A level for the Hudson Valley Renegades. Through 87 innings, the right-hander has posted a 4.14 ERA with a 1.16 WHIP. He has struck out 94 hitters and allowed 35 free passes. Last season, the 22-year-old spent most of his time with High-A as well, but was much more successful, posting a 2.77 ERA with a strong 1.08 WHIP. Fantasy managers should expect Grosz to remain at High-A throughout most of the second half, given his inconsistencies.
