LPL & LCK DFS Picks (03/06/22) - DraftKings and FanDuel League of Legends Daily Fantasy

Nathan's expert League of Legends (LoL) DFS advice and DraftKings, FanDuel lineup picks for LPL & LCK on 03/06/22. His top LoL value plays and eSports DFS recommendations.

Welcome, all, to another day of the greatest DFS game and Esport to follow. Really interesting slate tonight with only one lopsided game in terms of the betting odds. I had a couple of puppy emergencies today so I will keep it light.

Roster changes will be addressed if need be when mentioning each team.  As a friendly reminder, if you can't stomach any sub risk or don't enjoy waking up mid-REM sleep, then figure a way to roster players that don't hold any sub risk. The LCK is tricky when it comes to starting lineups, and we are usually given the LCK starting lineups about an hour or so before lock, for the first series. (@KorizonEsports on Twitter is a good lineup source, as well as @kenzi131) We are going to try and project starters based on who has recently been starting. LPL starters are found earlier and on Twitter too.

I'll provide my League of Legends advice, analysis, and picks, for this LPL & LCK slate on DraftKings and FanDuel that locks at 2:00 AM on Sunday, March 6th, 2022. If you have any questions about the slate or anything please reach out to me on Twitter @nvanhareDFS. I'll do my best to provide some useful analysis. The odds listed are from Pinnacle. Let's jump right into the matchups

LCK Matches

3:00 AM: DRX (-304) vs. LSB (+214)

I will admit when I am wrong and I've had the wrong take on both these teams at some point this year. At the start of the split I hated DRX. I thought they were terrible and wouldn't win more than a few games. Once I announced this, they stopped losing altogether. LSB I came into the split with high hopes about, they've proven those hopes to be worthless time and again. DRX is in a great spot in this one and probably makes a good cash team play as well as a decent GPP spot. LCK is underwhelming often, but taking shots on them isn't bad! LSB is in play for GPPs as well given their pricing.

Top DRX plays: Pyosik, Deft
Top LSB plays: Ice, Croco

6:00 AM: T1 (-951) vs. KT (+519)

I really don't have a ton to say on this spot. T1 is a great cash and GPP play. This line seems insanely large however T1 should likely be favored even more. This team is firing on all cylinders and doesn't appear to be stopping anytime soon. Don't miss out on an easy spot for a near guaranteed win.

Top T1 Plays: All of them, Oner
Top KT Plays:  None of them

LPL Matches

2:00 AM: V5 (-714) vs. UP (+458)

V5 has been my favorite team since the start of Covid LoL slates. They were terrible back then, they are finally good now. I love the new roster and they are a massive DFS team. UP is another massive DFS team and this makes for a firecracker of a matchup. We likely see insane ownership on V5 so I don't hate avoiding them but they seem to be the must play in cash. GPPs they have massive ceiling as well so I don't advice writing them off.

Top UP plays: Elk, ShiauC
Top V5 plays: Photic, Karsa

4:00 AM: RA (-182) vs. OMG (+140)

The first of the two coinflip matches tonight. OMG is a team that I've never held a good opinion of, even though I've won a few slates with them. I have no faith in the team but they shouldn't have tons of ownership so I may be considering them in GPPs. RA with strive this year have shown promise and have won some really nice games. OMG has acted as a "gatekeeper" in which they are beating the bad teams but losing to the good ones. It's up to you to determine what kind of team RA is. I lean towards the good side, but overall who knows with the LPL matches this year. With objective bounties in play, we see some wild comebacks and situations in game

Top RA Plays: Strive, Cube

Top OMG Plays: Shanji, Creme, Able

6:00 AM: TES (-106) vs. LNG (-114)

The second of the coin flip matches tonight. This one I also believe is truly anyone's game for DFS purposes. People love LNG this year but still love the name recognition of TES. TES has played underwhelmingly this year and may have left a sour taste in the mouths of many. I think they make a great GPP play as a result and I will be looking to play them. I will also have some LNG as they have somehow found a way to be optimal even when scoring 70s, we call it the LNG curse.

Top TES Plays: Knight, JackeyLove

Top LNG Plays: Tarzan, Light

Summary

  1. TLDR: V5, T1 are your cash stacks. Everyone else is in play for GPP, a true anything goes kind of night
  2. GPP Stacks: OMG, TES, LSB are all in play as dogs. LNG, V5 are my favorite upside favorites.
  3. Cash Stacks: Playing double support might be necessary tonight in H2Hs and double ups, avoiding v5 and/or T1 just seems very wrong.

Good luck tomorrow RotoBallers!
