Rhamondre Stevenson Injury Update for Fantasy Football
Stevenson maintained the lead back role in the Patriots' backfield through the first eight weeks of the season, but leading into Week 9, he started missing time with a toe injury. While there hasn't been any clarity on exactly what the toe injury is (this is the Patriots, after all), he has been able to slowly get back to practice over the last two weeks.
He was limited in practices leading up to last Thursday night's game against the Jets, but he ultimately wasn't able to get back in time to play in Week 11. He was also limited to start this week, but as long as he responds well to the work, he seems to be trending towards a Week 12 return against the Bengals.
With TreVeyon Henderson playing well in Rhamondre Stevenson’s absence, Mike Vrabel was asked if there will be a more even workload between the two once Stevenson is back from injury:

Rhamondre Stevenson Fantasy Football Outlook
When he does get back in action, he'll have to earn back playing time from TreVeyon Henderson, who has been a fantasy football beast in his three games without Stevenson. The rookie has five touchdowns in his last two weeks and has been one of the best running backs in the entire NFL.
Henderson thrives outside the tackles on the edge and brings lots of big-play potential. He is definitely a rising star in the Patriots' offense and should stay very involved.

However, that doesn't mean that there isn't going to be plenty of work for Stevenson as well. He doesn't bring the same "home run threat" that Henderson offers, but he's much more effective grinding out yards between the tackles.
The Patriots love using him near the goal line as a short-yardage power back, and if he returns to that role, the backfield could be big enough for both players to be strong fantasy options. Stevenson will likely be touchdown-dependent, since Henderson has looked very good in his work as a receiver out of the backfield.
If he does get back in time for Week 12's matchup with the Bengals, he'll be a high-risk flex option due to his very favorable matchup. The Bengals have been the best matchup in the NFL for running backs this season, allowing 15 running back touchdowns in 10 games along with an average of 137.1 rushing hards and 48.5 receiving yards to the position each week.
Both running backs should thrive in this situation, so keep a close eye on Stevenson's availability as we get closer to Sunday's matchup.
