Raiders In Touch With Amari Cooper Regarding Option
7 years agoOakland Raiders general manager Reggie McKenzie said the team has been in touch with wide receiver Amari Cooper's agent about extending his fifth-year option. McKenzie said the team is focused on the draft but that "we like Amari." The third-year wideout rubbed his fantasy owners the wrong way in 2017 by posting career lows in receptions (48) and yards (680) after reaching 1,000 yards his first two years in the NFL. He ranked third in the league in dropped passes, but he also wasn't 100 percent healthy for much of the year. With new head coach Jon Gruden in town and with better health, Cooper should be the focal point of the offense and could be in for a bounce-back season as a fantasy value pick.
