Kyle Tucker Trending Toward Returning This Weekend
Kyle Tucker (calf) is "trending" toward returning for the final series of the regular season this weekend against the division-rival St. Louis Cardinals, according to 670 The Score. Tucker has recovered slowly from a left-calf strain that has kept him out of action since early September, but he's been doing baseball activities this week and has rejoined the major-league squad at Wrigley Field. The Cubs definitely want to get the 28-year-old some at-bats this weekend before the playoffs start early next week. The former first-rounder has hit .270/.381/.472 with an .854 OPS, 22 home runs, 73 RBI, 89 runs scored, and 25 stolen bases in 489 at-bats in his first year with the Cubbies, and they are going to need him performing the way he can for them to make a deep run in October.
