Alabama quarterback Ty Simpson has not made a decision regarding his 2026 status, according to ESPN's Pete Thamel. Simpson exhausted his third year of collegiate eligibility in 2025, completing 64.5% of his passes for 3,567 and 28 touchdowns to just five interceptions. In the middle of his junior campaign, Simpson looked like a sure-fire early-first-round NFL Draft pick for 2026. However, he cooled off near the end of the first season as a starter. Thamel reports that Simpson's most likely option is to declare for the 2026 NFL Draft, but in today's NIL and transfer portal climate, you never know what can happen.
