Vegas Golden Knights defenseman Alex Pietrangelo (hip) has not ruled out playing in 2025-26. "Nothing is really concrete. I'm just going to continue to take it day-by-day and see where it goes," the veteran defenseman said Monday when asked whether he would rule out playing this upcoming season. During the offseason, the Golden Knights announced that Pietrangelo was stepping away from "the intensity of hockey" to see if his injured hip could improve enough to have "a normal quality of life." He was expected to miss the entire 2025-26 season at a minimum. However, Pietrangelo's rehab has been going well, giving hope that he can return to action at some point this season. The 35-year-old finished last season with 33 points (four goals, 29 assists), 123 shots, 139 blocks, and a plus-11 rating in 71 games.--Taavi Pailk
