Hendrick Motorsports driver Kyle Larson placed seventh at the end of the Mobil 1 301 at New Hampshire Motor Speedway. Larson began the race from the 16th position, but showcased that he had better speed than others starting ahead of him from the beginning, especially over longer green flag runs. By the end of the first stage, Larson raced his way up to sixth and scored stage points. In the second stage, Larson moved even closer to the front, restarting in the top five around lap 124 and soon worked his way to the lead past Chase Briscoe. Larson soon lost the lead after a few more laps to Joey Logano and Ryan Blaney, but made it past Blaney through pit stops by the end of stage two. Larson finished second in stage two and earned more stage points. In the final stage, Larson ran in the top 10 through the entire stage outside of pit stops. Through pit stops and restarts, Larson fell back to sixth by the end of the race and finished the race in that position, scoring his third consecutive top-10 finish at New Hampshire. He now sits 41 points ahead of the playoff cut line for the Round of 12 with two races left in the round.--Sean Engel - RotoBaller
