12/4:The New York Mets are considering using outfielder Brandon Nimmo as a centerpiece in a package to acquire Miami Marlins catcher J.T. Realmuto. However, no trade is imminent between the two clubs. Realmuto is a hot trade commodity with other clubs aware that they will not sign him to a long-term extension. The best-hitting catcher in MLB could be on the move before next week's winter meetings even get underway. Nimmo broke out last year with a .263/.404/.483 line, 17 home runs, 47 RBI, 77 runs scored and nine stolen bases in his third big league season, and he's still will only be 26 next March. He'd be a guaranteed starter in Miami and would likely hit at the top of the lineup.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
