Jets Willing To Go All Out For Kirk Cousins
7 years agoSources say that the New York Jets are willing to pay whatever it takes to land Washington Redskins impending free-agent quarterback Kirk Cousins unless the 'Skins tag him for a third time, which is highly unlikely. The Jets will have to convince Cousins that he'll have a chance to win in New York. If they can't lure Cousins in, there's a chance that they re-sign veteran Josh McCown as a stopgap option under center. The Jets have around $70 million available in salary cap, so money won't be a problem in trying to entice Cousins to play for them. Cousins had plenty of weapons the last two years in Washington, but that wouldn't be the case in New York. If he were to sign with the Jets, his fantasy stock would take a significant hit.
